Welcome to Human Physiology 101 by Kristi K. Please feel free to look around and see what I have been learning! Don't be shy!

Throughout this wikispace you will find many different topics that apply to physiology. Under each section/topic, you will find different diseases that are incorportated about that topic. I enjoy learning about diseases and I hope you do too! Also incorportated into each topic is how and why it applies to Occupational Therapy. Why Occupational Therapy? Because I am in my final semester of college for being an Occupational Therapy Assistant!

What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational therapy, OT, is a profession concerned with promoting health and the well-being through a person's occupation. OT helps people improve their ability to perform tasks in living and working environments. OT works with individuals who may be suffering from mental, physical, developmental, or emtional diabling condtions. During OT, treatments are used to develop, recover, or maintain the daily living and work skills of our patients. OT will also help the patient with the loss of a certain function. The primary goal of OT is to help all patients with independence, productivity, and to have a statisfying life.
